At the moment this is more a proof of concept than a finished animation. Rendering and editing 6K panorama videos (6144x6144 pixels) is a real pain. There is no panorama video player, or any video player, that manages to play videos in this resolution, so the 6K download version uses the Godot game engine to play the animation with GPU accelerated texture decompression. I expected it to need at least 700 MB of video ram, but was told that it even plays fine using onboard graphics with under 200 MB of shared memory. So it seems the engine is capable of streaming textures. Performance reports are always welcome. (Especially on GPUs with 512 MB of vram, or less.)I plan to get this to run on WIndows, Linux and macOS, but unfortunately I only have a Windows version of this at the moment. The macOS version messed up the alpha blending in my custom shader for some reason. For Linux I didn\'t have the time to check how it performs yet, but I was told that it can be started in Wine without any issues, as the engine uses OpenGL.Because it\'s running in a game engine anyway, I\'m planning to add more sex loops and some limited interactivity to the "game" version. But because I\'m trying to finish my Dorothy model (and something else) with priority, please don\'t expect updates before May. I also want to continue this on Godot Engine 3, which is still in development. I\'m considering VR support, which will become possible with that engine update, however that also depends on how pricing for VR headsets develops. They are still far too expensive.
